Ana Rita Brás
Biography
Ana Rita Bras holds a Master degree in Sociology (2019), Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra (FEUC). In 2019 joined the team of the projects 'CO.S.M.I.C - Community Support for Migrant Informal Careers' and 'ME-WE - Psychosocial Support for Promoting Mental health and wellbeing among adolescent young carers in Europe' at the Center for Welfare Studies of the Social Sciences Faculty, University of Ljubljana. Between 2020 and 2021 was Junior Researcher at the Center for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra (CES), under the IMAS II project - Improving Assistance in Inclusive Educational Settings. Hosted by CES, her PhD research (2020 - 2024) is entitled 'Death of a spouse and social networks: a study on female widowhood', funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology and the European Social Fund (2020.05032.BD), as part of the PhD in Sociology at FEUC. The main focus of research is on Women, Family, Care and Social Policies.
