Paula Abreu
Biography
Ph.D. in Sociology (University of Coimbra). Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Coimbra - Faculty of Economics (FEUC), where she coordinates the Doctoral Programme on Discourses: Culture, History and Society (FLUC/ FEUC/ CES). Researcher at the Center for Social Studies - CES (Urban Cultures, Sociabilities and Participation Research Group). She is part of the research teams of the European Commission funded projects IN SITU - Place-based innovation of cultural and creative industries in non-urban areas (2022-2026) and CONCILIARE - Confidently changing colonial heritage (2024-2027). Her research interests focus on cultural production and consumption, markets for cultural goods, cultural values, cultural institutions and cultural policy.
