ISII - Incubadora Social e de Investigação e Inovação [Social, Research and Innovation Incubator] received a donation from the D. Antónia Adelaide Ferreira Revelação 2024 Award, given to Maria Nunes Pereira, Co-founder and Director of Innovation at TISSIUM – Biomorphic Programmable Polymers, a company dedicated to the production of instruments and materials for medical, dental and optical use.

The award winner allocated part of the amount received to a social impact project and chose ISII as the beneficiary. The donation was delivered directly by Sogrape, the entity responsible for awarding the prize, during a ceremony held in Vila Nova de Gaia, which was attended by the Director of the Centre for Social Studies (CES), Tiago Santos Pereira, and the coordinator of ISII, Cláudia Pato de Carvalho.

ISII - Incubadora Social e de Investigação e Inovação [Social, Research and Innovation Incubator] is a Centre for Impact Entrepreneurship, created under the Portugal Social Innovation (PT2030) programme, coordinated by the Centre for Social Studies in partnership with the University of Coimbra and the Faculty of Economics, and its mission is to support the development of social innovation projects with a positive impact in the territories of Coimbra and Cantanhede.

In this sense, the project also has the support of the Municipal Councils of these two municipalities, the company Crioestaminal and a private donation from Sogrape and the Dona Antónia 2023 Awards.
